Fresh out of hibernation this black bear was busily grazing on side of highway. When I got out of the vehicle to make some photos he positioned himself behind a tree…perhaps thinking I wouldn’t see him ?

I watched this bald eagle get continuously get chased off for getting too close the crow’s nest. I found it amazing that a raptor this large would flee from the little crow. However I’ve seen this drama play out similiarly with humans.

An intense storm was quickly passing ove the Superstition Mtns, changing light and landscape objects within seconds. As I chased it I encountered this massive Saguaro cactus who seemed to have no fear.

Grace allowed me to capture this humminbird mother returning to the nest to feed her chicks at 15 minutes intervals. Thanks to Paul, guru of current happenings at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, I was directed to an otherwise obscure nesting spot.
