Chasing a desert monsoon storm in anticipation of a chance for good lightning shot I found a rainbow waiting for me on Peralta road near Hwy 60 in Gold Canyon.

While photographing the shafts of light coming thru windows in Lower Antelope Canyon I didn’t notice the shape near the center of the lightbeam. Later when I brought it up on larger home monitor I saw it looks the shape of an angel….hmmm.

Moving into winter the Arizona days become shorter but the december sunsets have been incredibly beautiful this week. This one is right in my drive of my Gold Canyon home

This cactus has endured some bouts of cold over the course of its life. The arms droop when desert temps gets too cold but recover and turn upward when it warms up. Thanks to Debbie JoeDicker for that bit of knowledge.
